I am very intrigued by this design because it is based on a re-imagination of the Grandad RX-78 but with a GN drive. I think I have read somewhere that in the anime, the voice actor of the pilot of this suit is also the voice of Amuro Ray!
I actually bought both the GN-000 in Grey and in the Type A.C.D. Colour! In the anime Grey is the original colour and the mobile suit is only given a colour when it is rolled out for combat; That is what A.C.D. means Actual Combat Deployment. Both HG kit are identical apart from the colour, and the also the Grey unit comes with some beam effect “wings”.
I thought that since the GN-000 is a tribute to the old RX-78 it would look better with a classic RX-78 shield instead of the one that comes with the kit.
I have not really watched the anime before, but I do know that the Exia Repair 2 and GN-000 had a big space battle! Please support this page by looking at my previous projects as well.
I have kit-bashed the right hand to hold the beam sabre, but I just can’t remember which kit I used, it might possibility be the Hazel?
I still have doubts on the design and but I don’t dislike it. I think it looks good on the shelf and it looks different to my other RX-78 lookalike. To be honest, I think out of the all the GN drive Gundam design, the GN-000 and the Exia are my favourite, and I don’t think I will be getting any more other GN Drive Gundams.
