HG Grimgerde

Grimgerde! I can’t even pronounce it, I have to google his name every time when I was looking at how other modellers customised this design.

However, this is my favourite IBO design, apart from Schwalbe Graze or the grunt’s Graze. IMHO Grimgerde’s design is unique when compared to other kits in Gundam lore. The curved armour and huge shoulders (Which is almost Gerbera-Tetra like)!

Parts separation are adequate, nothing to rave about, but I don’t mind since I am painting it mainly in red.

But the gapping jaw! I have to paint the jaw section a darker colour just to hide it and I think it works. It reminds me of the android Necromancer from “Raised y Wolves”.

The kit itself is not very stable due to the ball joint at the waist hence the centre of gravity keep shifting over time. Hence it will benefit from using a display stand or you could simply tighten the joint up using a bit of dry paint.

Overall I am please I bought this and painted it. I don’t think I will get another kit to customised but having another pair of swords and rifle may help with a kit bash!
