Just another Gunpla Page! But I make other plastic scale models for fun as well!
HG MS-14JG Gelgoog Jager
Bandai have released quite a few different variant of the Gelgoog, but the Jager has a slightly different curved waist compared to the other standard design. What attracted me to this design was that has a beam machine gun and 2 fuel tank at the back. The design is also slightly modernised and does not have the retro goofy look.
The kit itself has many large plain surfae area and lack of details but it didn’t really bother me as it is a relatively old kit. Aritculation is also barely adequate, it will stand because it has huge feet, but don’t expect and Christmas family twister game with this kit.Parts separation is also adeqaute but because some of the edges are angualr, it is not too difficult to mask. I went for a old samuria yellow purple colour scheme, which I actually quite like because it stands out among my other collections. Also I later found out it is also similar to Cima’s Gelgoog in 0083 Stardust Memories. This Gelgoog Jager was featured in “War in the Pocket” but I always get confused between this design over Cima Gelgoog Marine. At the time of my writing Galactictoys has one on sale.
Comparing side-by-side to the standard Gelgoog (which is actually my Cima’s but I repainted to the standard livery); the standard Gelgoog is slightly taller but has a more goofy grunt look on the face comapred to the Jager.
This is side-by-side compare to other kit in the 0083 Starudst Memories, Gerbera-Tetra, Gundam GP01, repainted RGM-79Q, and finally the Zaku 2. If you are confused on why I am comparing this Jager with “0083 Stardust memories” and not “War in the Pocket” is because my memory has gone to my pocket and I was just thinking of Starwars! If you like my work please feel free to visit my other completed projects to support this blog.
